Important Note

Osmolality vs Osmolarity: Osmolality (mOsm/kg H₂O) is measured per kg of solvent, while osmolarity (mOsm/L) is measured per liter of solution. For dilute aqueous solutions, they are numerically similar (~1-3% difference).
